In this role, you will contribute to a liquidity risk platform and related applications that support liquidity risk management capabilities within the FinSight organization.\r\nAs an Associate Director / Principal ‑ level engineer, you will combine hands ‑ on engineering expertise with technical leadership, driving delivery, strengthening design quality, and ensuring solutions meet resiliency, security, and control expectations. You will partner closely with business stakeholders and cross ‑ functional technology teams to deliver enhancements and improvements across an already modernized, data ‑ driven ecosystem.\r\nYour Primary Responsibilities :\r\nTechnical Leadership & Delivery\r\nProvide day ‑ to ‑ day technical leadership across one or more business applications, including solution design and implementation oversight.\r\nCoach and mentor engineers, supporting skill development and strong engineering practices.\r\nDrive end ‑ to ‑ end delivery from design through deployment, ensuring success criteria such as data integrity, reliability, and maintainability are met.\r\nSupport delivery planning, including effort and cost estimation for modules and initiatives.\r\nEngineering Execution (Hands‑On)\r\nBuild and enhance enterprise applications using Python (API and service development; multithreading where applicable) and modern engineering patterns.\r\nDesign and implement Snowflake‑based data solutions, including writing production‑grade SQL and working with Snowflake objects (tables, views, roles, warehouses).\r\nSupport end‑to‑end workflows that integrate UI ↔ API ↔ Data Warehouse, demonstrating a strong delivery and operational mindset.\r\nRisk, Controls & Operational Excellence\r\nEmbed a risk management mindset into delivery, incorporating resiliency, security, and control considerations.\r\nAnticipate delivery risks and proactively solve problems to support stable outcomes.\r\nFollow established procedures and monitoring controls; demonstrate strong ethical behavior and attention to risk.\r\nStakeholder Partnership\r\nPartner with business stakeholders and business architecture to identify opportunities, drive innovation, and re‑imagine capabilities.\r\nCommunicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical partners and operate effectively across locations and teams.\r\nQualifications\r\nAt least 8 =10 years of related experience in software engineering, including enterprise application delivery.\r\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience\r\nTalent Needed for Success\r\nStrong SQL experience is required (writing complex SQL, good grasp of operational/analytical and warehousing concepts, working with large data sets). Snowflake experience is preferred, working with Snowflake objects (roles, warehouses).\r\nPython experience building enterprise applications (API/service development; multithreading is a plus).\r\nFamiliarity with Angular or similar UI development frameworks is a plus.\r\nExperience delivering end ‑ to ‑ end workflows spanning UI, APIs, and data warehouse layers.\r\nStrong analytical and problem ‑ solving skills with clear, effective communication.\r\nAbility to mentor and guide other engineers with a leadership mindset.\r\nPreferred Skills\r\nSnowflake performance tuning (warehouse sizing, query optimization, clustering strategies).\r\nFamiliarity with CI/CD, containerization, and cloud exposure (AWS preferred).\r\nExperience building internal tools, dashboards, or data products.\r\nFastAPI or modern Python framework patterns.\r\nFamiliarity with liquidity risk or fixed income / financial markets is a plus.\r\nThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
