No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks.\n\nResponsibilities\nField Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials, including soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction materials testing project sites; Execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers.\nTesting Procedures: Conduct routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance.\nData Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspection; May assist with calculations, drafting, and other administrative duties as requested.\nCommunication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers; Communicate changing site conditions and additional requested testing to supervisor; Attend project meetings as requested; Assist with organization of field equipment and notify supervisor of broken or missing equipment as needed.\nTraining and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; Document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.\nCareer Development\nAs your experience grows, ECS will:\nSupport you in enhancing your professional skills.\nEncourage participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by organizations such as OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, various State DOTs, WACEL, and others, as appropriate.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nRequired Qualifications\nNo experience required.\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nMust be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.\nMust have valid driver's license and insurance.\nMust have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policies.\nWilling to develop understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.\nWilling to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards, leading to certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.\nOSHA 10 certification may be required.\nStrong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).\nAbility to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.\nMilitary Qualifications:\nThe following US Military ranks will qualify for this position IF they also meet the education and licenses requirements from the above section titled \"Required Qualifications\":\nE-4\nWho We Are:\nECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
