Heavy Equipment OperatorWage: $36.40 per hourFull time position: 50 hour per weekFLSA Status: Non-exemptReports to ForemanPSC Construction is seeking full time Heavy Equipment Operators to help with grading and underground utility installations for heavy industrial and private clients.Essential FunctionsFrequently use hands and talk/hearAbility to see colorFrequently lift, bend, stoop, climb, and jumpContinuous driving automotive equipmentBeing near machineryChanges in temperatureWorking regularly around dirt and dust Walk long distances and stand long periods of timeWritten and verbal communication skillsReasoning, math, and languageOccasional travelJob Description Operating heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner.Heavy equipment may include front end loaders, dozers, excavators, and all other pieces of equipment. Heavy Equipment Operators must clean, maintain, and report any service that will be needed. Customer service and public interaction skills Apply good problem solving and conflict resolution skills Clear understanding of excavation and grading practices Work directly with the site foreman to plan and organize project needs RequirementsMandatory background and drug screeningHeavy equipment operator with underground utilitiesAbility to use and troubleshoot GPS. Topcon and Trimble a plus. 3 years of Heavy equipment operating experience with various types of equipment including excavator and dozer.
