Server - Part Time Assisted Living

Take orders and serve food and beverages to residents. The primary function is to prepare and serve foods that meet or exceed La Posada quality standards, and to comply with all Federal and State requirements relating to quality assurance, food handling, and kitchen sanitation while providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents. The Server is under the direct supervision of the Supervisor or assigned Supervisor in Training.Essential FunctionsTake orders from patrons for food or beveragesCheck with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problemsPrepares food and condiment items needed according to the daily production chart and other food activitiesOperates, cleans, and maintains kitchen equipment used in food preparationMaintains work, and storage areas, including sweeping/mopping the kitchen floor, cleaning the walls/ceilings, and other structuresChecks for accuracy and separates orders for residentsDelivers carts/trays to proper service location, and aids with room set-up as neededServe food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as requiredRemove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaningPresent menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon requestInform customers of daily specialsClean tables or counters after patrons have finished diningPrepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons, and chill bottles of wineExplain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methodsPrepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glasswarePerform food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, and cold dishes, portioning desserts, and brewing coffeeStock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linensGarnish and decorate dishes in preparation for servingFill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containersEscort customers to their tablesOther duties as assignedPlease note that you are required to complete 8 hours of Memory Care Training prior to your start date*If you believe you would be a good fit for this position and you live by the values of integrity, compassion, and respect for seniors and co-workers, then you may be the candidate we’re looking for!Apply today to start your new adventure!
