Head of Business Development
Our client is seeking a Director, Business Development for an excellent remote + travel position that can be located in the Midwest, Central, or Eastern U.S. near a major airport. Responsibilities include:Analyzing new market segments to identify targets, competitors, and opportunitiesResponsible for all proactive outreach: cold-calling, email, in-person visits, tradeshows, etc.Develop/execute tailored sales strategies promoting engineering, integration, and automation servicesNegotiate contracts, estimate materials and cost, close deals, and meet/exceed revenue targetsBuild/maintain long-term client relationships: follow-up, onboarding, coordinate initial ordersCollaborate with executives, engineering, operations, and product teams on segment needsReport progress and performance to leadershipQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related10+ years in business development, outside sales, account management, with 3+ years in the warehouse/supply chain automation industry.Prior experience successfully building a sales function and strategy, managing market/competitive analysis, and sales forecastingProven success expanding into new markets/segments from scratchAbility to communicate and sell to Engineers and Business Executives. Prior experience as an engineer or project manager in automation a plus.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsProficiency in CRM (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office,Customer-centric focus with the ability to work independently and across a matrix organization.#J-18808-Ljbffr
