Let’s build something better — together.\n\nJob Description\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Micro Trench Operator to support underground fiber optic construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating 16”–26” microtrenching equipment, slurry backfill systems, and related underground construction equipment in fast-paced telecom environments.\nThis position plays a critical role in fiber optic pathway installation, trench restoration, and maintaining production and safety standards on active jobsites.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperate microtrenching equipment, including Ditch Witch and similar fiber installation systems\nPerform precise trench cutting while maintaining proper depth and alignment\nOperate stand-on slurry hopper machines for trench backfill and restoration\nCoordinate with vac truck operators and support crews during excavation and installation activities\nInstall fiber optic pathways, conduit, and microduct systems\nRead and interpret construction prints, utility maps, and job specifications\nFollow utility locating requirements and safe excavation practices\nMaintain equipment and report mechanical issues as needed\nEnsure compliance with company safety standards and production goals\nSupport general underground telecom construction activities when needed\nOther duties as assigned\nMust always comply with proper safety standards/procedures and work practices while operating equipment according to Pramira’s safety standards.\n\nQualifications\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMust be 18 years old, have a valid driver license with clean driving record\nSelf-motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions\nExperience operating 16”–26” micro trenching equipment\nKnowledge of slurry backfill and restoration operations\nUnderstanding of underground utility awareness and safe excavation practices\nExperience with fiber optic construction and conduit installation\nAbility to work in production-based construction environments\nStrong communication and teamwork skills\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions\nMust pass a Drug Test & Background Check\n\nAdditional Information\n\nPay range: $25-$28/hr.
