Job Description Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) with Emergency Room (ER) and/or Urgent Care experience to join our healthcare team. The PA will provide high-quality medical care, evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuriesPerform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinationsOrder, interpret, and review diagnostic tests such as labs, X-rays, and EKGsDevelop and implement treatment plansPerform minor procedures including suturing, wound care, splinting, incision and drainage, and abscess treatmentPrescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulationsStabilize and manage emergency medical conditionsProvide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up careMaintain accurate and timely medical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionalsEnsure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical protocolsParticipate in quality improvement and patient safety initiativesQualificationsMaster’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant programCurrent Physician Assistant license in the state of practiceNCCPA certification requiredDEA registration and prescriptive authority requiredCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferredMinimum of 1–2 years of Emergency Room and/or Urgent Care experience preferredStrong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPreferred SkillsExperience managing high patient volumesProficiency with EMR systemsStrong procedural skillsExcellent bedside manner and communication skillsAbility to work independently with physician supportTrauma or emergency response experience preferred
