Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.As a Manufacturing Engineer, you may support the Assembly and/or Fabrication areas depending on the project or assignment.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeInterfacing with design, manufacturing, test, quality, and other internal/external stakeholders as the product(s) move from planning to release, completion, and distributionUsing SAP, dPLM, and other applications & tools to analyze and develop sequence of operations, work-instructions, procedures, and production record systems including inspection and testAssisting in the identification, procurement, and implementation of equipment, machinery, tools/fixtures, and material handling systemsEstablishing methods for maximum utilization of the production facilities and personnel utilizing lean six sigma concepts to improve work-flow efficiencies throughout production and the facilityUsing 2D/3D modeling tools to assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of manufacturing cells & layouts throughout the facilityUsing business process applications and tools to analyze data to improve productivity including reducing cost, improving inventory accuracy and improving first pass quality to achieve on-time schedulesInvestigating issues, gathering data, and initiating corrective actions and then presenting solutions to teams and leaders within the organizationAssisting in establishing hazard prevention measures including personnel training programs for all phases of production operations including safety and ergonomicsBasic QualificationsBS in Engineering Discipline and 3 years of related experienceMust be a U.S. citizenDesired Skills5+ years of experience in CCA Manufacturing processes such as SMT, AOI, and Conformal Coating.Experience in LEAN Six Sigma methodologiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in team enviornmentPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $76700.00 - $142500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
