Join us to help build the displays that will power the future of immersive computing.DescriptionWe are seeking a driven microLED Layout Engineer to lead layout design for new microLED products. In this role, you will work with process integration engineers and other stakeholders to create multi-layer layouts for both prototype and mass-production devices. An ideal candidate will be both expert in mask layout and embrace opportunities to collaborate with other teams including process engineering, metrology, reliability, and marketing.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and optimize multi‑layer mask layouts for semiconductor processing using industry-standard toolsGenerate GDS layout files and ensure compatibility with fab processing capabilitiesCollaborate with process integration engineers to define mask sets for new microLED products and iterate on masks to support changes in fab processingBalance input from stakeholders across various functions (e.g., process integration, EL testing, reliability engineering) to create usable mask layouts on the first iterationUnderstand processing limitations (e.g. lithography resolution) that have an impact on layout design to ensure that taped-out masks are aligned with fab processing capabilitiesMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field5+ years of hands-on experience creating multi-layer mask layouts for semiconductor products, in particular optoelectronic productsExperience using KLayout, Cadence, or Tanner L-edit mask layout softwareStrong communication skills. Ability to summarize findings into clear, actionable reports for cross-functional teams.Willingness and ability to travel internationally to collaborate with foundry partnersPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field of study.Familiarity with microLED or LED device architectures and pixel-level design elementsUnderstanding of semiconductor wafer process flows and module level processingExperience debugging individual mask layers to correct fabrication issues.Experience testing microLEDs or working with electroluminescence testing teamsProficiency with data analysis and statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Python, MATLAB)Benefits & PerksComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid holidays and vacationEmployee stock option plan
