Develops all compliance requirements, attends audits, and develop action plans to cover all requirements.\nYour Responsibilities:\nAssist with maintaining and implementing standardized EOHS programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and Wabash policies relating to safety and the environment.\nAssist with and maintain all required environmental training, registrations, and permits for the process, equipment, or discharges generated at the facility.\nProvide guidance and support to management of EOHS issues. Work closely with all levels of employees to establish, maintain, and improve EOHS programs and culture.\nDevelop a thorough knowledge of the process, equipment, and materials used in the facility, including pollution control devices and other applicable regulated equipment and processes.\nPromptly address and then notify the EOHSS Manager and the appropriate Operations Manager of potential regulatory issues, incidents, or control device malfunctions.\nAid in the timely preparation of regulatory submittals or required reports to regulatory agencies as requested.\nAs necessary; consult, develop, review, and/or implement procedures/SWIs to reduce EOHSS risks.\nSupport the SDS program, training, and database by reviewing new SDS request, intermittently auditing existing materials used at the facility, and facilitate the required HAZCOMM training.\nSupport a comprehensive and organized recordkeeping system so that the facility can verify compliance with all applicable regulations using both the designated electronic system and hard copy records retention as required.\nEnsure responsible parties are immediately notified of EOHSS concerns and action is immediately taken.\nAs appropriate and as assigned, manage vendor compliance in the online contractor management system.\nAttend training, meetings, and seminars to maintain proficiency in EOHS areas.\nSupport EOHS related training programs to ensure employee's knowledge and understanding of EOHS risk recognition and reduction activities; regulations; and requirements.\nPerforming employee training as designated.\nSupport Fire Protection Systems operation, testing, and record keeping. Support implementation of elements of the Wabash Fire Prevention Plan.\nAssist with annual property insurance inspections and record keeping.\nMaintain fall protection equipment inventory.\nMaintain spill response and containment as needed.\nAssist with development and review of Safe Work Instructions and Risk Assessment procedures.\nDrives a proactive safety culture and positive behavior reinforcement system.\nSupport utilization of Ideagen (and other EOHSS software systems) for the EOHSS functions.\nDevelop, support, and review CapEx Projects for EOHSS and other CapEx categories.\nOccasional purchase of EOHS supplies, materials, PPE, equipment, etc.\nPerform EOHSS audits and inspections to support improvement activities and compliance\nOther duties as assigned\nLet's Talk About Your Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree required (Preferred in Environmental, Safety or similar major)\nKnowledge and/or training courses specific for this position:\nHazardous Waste Management and special handling.\nAccident prevention\nEnvironmental legislation\nFirst aid\nISO 14001 Auditor\nOSHA regulations\nRisk assessment\nSkills specific for this position:\nAttention to detail\nOrganizational skills\nSystematized observation\nStress management\nDecision making and problem-solving skills\nManufacturing familiarity\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work with a team and to work independently\nSafety culture deployment\nChange management\nExperience specific for this position:\nDemonstrates ability to supervise employees and show leadership skills\nRisk management\nEnvironmental management system\nSafety management system\nCompliance requirements\nInternal audits\nErgonomic\nWork Comp\nEHS Software Systems\nPhysical Demands\nStand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms\nFrequently lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds\nVision and the ability to adjust focus\nJoin us in turning ideas into world-changing realities.
