This position requires the ability to work shifts to provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, participate in an On-Call rotation and be available OnDemand to address technical problems and support weekend activities.\n\nDaily Responsibilities\n\nProvide technical guidance in analyzing and evaluating data protection policies and success rates.\n\nProvide daily management of production Commvault systems including windows media agents; Commvault Hyperscale Appliances; Private Metrics Server; Client package creation; and cloud, NetApp, PURE, and Hyperscaler data targets.\n\nProvide daily support of customer requests for recovery efforts to include but not limited to: Exchange, Windows file systems, Unix files systems, Oracle databases, and SQL databases.\n\nProvide assistance in planning, designing, and evaluating hardware and software recommendations to enhance and improve the Enterprise Data Protection & Recovery System as a whole.\n\nCreate and update standard operating procedures and technical documentation.\n\nAbility to work shifts to provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.\n\nAbility to travel to multiple data centers for work on an as needed basis.\n\nRequired Years of Experience (min)\n\n6 years of relevant experience with data protection systems\n\nRequired Degree/Certifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in the related field OR the equivalent combination of education and work experience.\n\nRelevant certifications preferred, such as:\n\nNetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)\n\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional\n\nRequired Experience & Expertise in the following areas\n\nExperience in the implementation and management of enterprise data protection and recovery systems.\n\nExperience with a combination of PURE Snapshots, Oracle Cloud, AWS S3 & EC2, GCP, Commvault Metallic, and/or Microsoft cloud (Azure, O365, Teams, SharePoint).\n\nExpert in evaluation, implementation, and management of production Commvault data protection software, as well as Commvault Hyperscale, AWS, PURE FlashArray & FlashBlade, and NetApp data protection targets.\n\nRelevant operating systems security (Windows, ESX, Solaris, Linux, etc.).\n\nKnowledge of Hybrid, private, and public clouds.\n\nUnderstanding of VMware ESX; vSphere; vCenter.\n\nCloud technologies (backup and target).\n\nIT security and encryption technologies.\n\nNetwork Attached Storage (NAS) technologies.\n\nBlock and object storage.\n\nBCDR procedures.\n\nDFS.\n\nConverged infrastructure technologies.\n\nData center layout and designs.\n\nActive/Active configurations.\n\nKubernetes and containers.\n\nCommunicating technical topics to elected officials, senior executives, managers, and IT professionals in a manner appropriate to their knowledge level.\n\nAbility to comprehend and integrate complex computer technology and software into an effective enterprise data protection and recovery strategy.\n\nMaintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, users, contractors, and vendors.\n\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with network/operating systems.\n\nRequired Clearance\n\nSecurity/Background Check required.\n\nCandidates must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by management.\n\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $130k - $145k\n\nPlease note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
