This unique hybrid role blends catering sales, group room sales, and event execution, offering a high-touch, end-to-end experience from initial inquiry through flawless event delivery and post-event follow-up.This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building relationships, and is passionate about creating memorable, elevated experiences. The role requires a high degree of independent judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence aligned with Appellation’s values.Job Responsibilities Include But Not Limited ToSales & Business DevelopmentProactively solicit and convert catering and group room business within designated marketsRespond promptly to inquiries, conduct engaging site tours, and close business with confidenceAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals while maintaining strong sales activityDevelop creative packages and strategically upsell enhancements to maximize revenuePrepare, present, and negotiate proposals, contracts, and pricing strategies aligned with profitability goalsLeverage referrals, vendor partnerships, trade shows, and networking events to generate new businessCollaborate with Sales & Marketing to identify and pursue new market opportunitiesEvent Planning & ExecutionServe as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning processCreate detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and coordinate closely with culinary, banquet, and operations teamsManage events onsite, ensuring seamless execution and an exceptional guest experienceHandle last-minute changes and requests with professionalism, flexibility, and composureConduct post-event follow-up and gather feedback to strengthen client relationshipsRevenue Optimization & Experience EnhancementIdentify and execute upselling opportunities, including premium menu enhancements, décor upgrades, and curated F&B experiencesPromote additional resort offerings such as spa services, overnight stays, and pre/post-event experiencesPartner with Spa and F&B teams to develop unique, revenue-generating packagesSupport seasonal promotions and targeted campaigns to drive demand during need periodsMonitor booking pace and proactively address gaps through strategic outreachOperations & CollaborationCoordinate with Front Desk and Reservations to manage room blocks, VIP arrivals, and special requestsMaintain accurate records and sales activity in Maestro and other systemsParticipate in weekly Sales & Catering, BEO, and leadership meetingsContribute to forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking for your segmentStay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings to remain innovative and competitiveCompensation & BenefitsPay Range (Salaried): $70,000 - $73,000 annuallyHealth benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and EAPVacation and paid holidays401(k) MatchingAflac supplementalTeam Member DiscountsGROW WITH USBorn from the elegant merger of the culinary and hospitality worlds, Appellation is much more than a typical hotel company.
