{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b7cbc5ced96ca348c852220e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b7cbc5ced96ca348c852220e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b7cbc5ced96ca348c852220e","title":"Analyst","description":"External Elements (EXELMS) Maritime Analyst (PT) Quantico, VA\r\nThe External Elements (EXELMS) Maritime Analyst reports to and receives work direction derivatives from the MSTP Project Manager and the EXELMS Section Head.\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Possess detailed and functional knowledge of the Marine Corps and joint/combined Planning Process and doctrine related to Maritime.\r\nConduct tactical and operational planning at conceptual, functional and detailed levels for service, functional component, and joint headquarters organizations in Maritime.\r\nAdvise and perform functional duties for event billets across service and functional component headquarters and Joint/Combined Force Headquarters per Maritime.\r\nPrepare orders, reports, briefs, and planning documents to support event scenario development and headquarters functions and, occasionally, prepare lesson plans and seminars.\r\nResearch concepts and conduct analysis of factual data.\r\nContribute to MSTP policy and SOP development within Maritime.\r\nParticipate in and conduct reviews and walk-throughs of events, operation orders and plans, and information requirements.\r\nAttend on and off-site conferences and lead working groups within Maritime.\r\nPerform Military Analyst duties and serve as event OTC when required.\r\nAdjust work hours and billet responsibilities as needed to support 24/7 event operations.\r\nReview TS/SCI intelligence from SCIFs for potential injection into the Exercise Audience Targeting/Effects boards and working groups, and coordinate with Exercise Controllers, the on-site SSO and SIO prior to including/injecting SCIF-derived information into exercises.\r\nContribute to Marine Corps and joint doctrine, TTPs, and best-practice publications.\r\nEDUCATION Bachelor's degree is required.\r\nAttendance at Intermediate Level School (e.g., Marine Corps CSC or completion of equivalent nonresident course) is required. Attendance at SAW or Top Level School is preferred.\r\nEXPERIENCE Minimum eight years of operational experience in deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, or combat service support units, related equipment and C2 methods and systems at the Higher Headquarters level.\r\nMinimum three years of training and education experience in military doctrine, tactics, or planning.\r\nCORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\r\nStrong communication and presentation skills. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Able to design and write clear communications and present training programs.\r\nExcellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.\r\nExcellent computer skills required. Proficient in the entire suite of MS Office and able to quickly learn additional systems. Familiarity with SharePoint and C2PC is desired.\r\nWORKING CONDITIONS Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus\r\nDaily travel in local area during workday (including use of personal vehicle)\r\nBe able to work an unstable schedule, to include holidays and weekends.\r\nSPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for up to three weeks at a time (or longer)\r\nQualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.\r\nSECURITY CLEARANCE A Secret security clearance is required for this position.\r\nThis position also requires a completed Personnel Security Investigation that will qualify the incumbent to be eligible for access to at least the TS-SCI level, and the individual must be read-in for NATO level access.\r\nThis position description outlines the general responsibilities and requirements for the stated position and in no way is an exhaustive list.
