This person will be trained to become responsible for employee safety, customer service and high levels of product quality. Our ideal candidate will be eager to develop his or her leadership skills and would want to learn our business and its processes.\r\nResponsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\nSupervise and train biodiesel production employees through scheduling, monitoring and assisting as needed. Take a lead role in locomotive and rail safety training.\r\n\r\n\r\nMonitor equipment and facility for proper operation by reviewing logs, reports and inspections.\r\n\r\n\r\nAssist with production and maintenance as needed including loading, unloading and maintenance work order task generation and completion.\r\n\r\n\r\nLead by example - no task is worth completing if conducted in an unsafe manner.\r\n\r\n\r\nSupervise daily production to meet the 1st time every time quality parameters.\r\n\r\n\r\nAssist with inventory control as needed, including measuring and sampling.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnforce and follow company policies and procedures.\r\n\r\n\r\nReview and write reports.\r\n\r\n\r\nAttend company meetings.\r\n\r\n\r\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\r\n\r\n\r\nProfessional Development with Career Progression\r\n\r\n\r\nLearn biodiesel production principles and practices.\r\n\r\n\r\nLearn and utilize employee assessment and development principles and practices.\r\n\r\n\r\nLearn OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance requirements and AGP's utilization and adherence to them.\r\n\r\n\r\nLearn and utilize quality control requirements to include approval of suppliers of raw materials and processing aids, shipping approval requirements, ASTM methods and limits, food safety requirements, quality system procedures, etc.\r\n\r\n\r\nLearn and utilize process management principles to include: Process Safety Management; equipment reliability analysis; maintenance requirements; and root cause failure analysis.\r\n\r\n\r\nRequirements\r\n\r\n\r\nAble to work rotating night and day shifts. Must also be willing to work rotating weekends and holidays.\r\n\r\n\r\nLeadership skills\r\n\r\n\r\nSkill in negotiating, analytical thinking and problem solving.\r\n\r\n\r\nAble to organize employee work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.\r\n\r\n\r\nA Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
