Discover more at https://www.connectpositronic.com/en/\r\nSummary\r\nThe Field Application Engineer (FAE) serves as the primary technical liaison between Positronic and its customers, providing expert-level support during the product evaluation and design-in process. This role focuses on delivering responsive, value-driven solutions for customer projects, securing design wins, and supporting the field sales team with application knowledge. The FAE collaborates closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and high-quality service.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nServe as the technical expert on Positronic's interconnect product lines and their applications.\r\nRespond to customer inquiries via phone, email, web chat, or live support platforms.\r\nProvide technical data, analysis, and best-value solutions to support customer designs.\r\nManage assigned Project Request Forms (PRFs) from initiation through design-win.\r\nCollaborate with internal departments to resolve technical challenges and meet customer needs.\r\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.\r\nTravel to customer sites as needed for application support, design reviews, or product qualification.\r\nConduct training webinars and in-person sessions for sales staff, partners, and distributors.\r\nMaintain accurate, timely communication and follow-up for all assigned projects.\r\nParticipate in technical marketing efforts and product positioning.\r\nSupport the sales team in coordinating design wins and application success.\r\nUphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.\r\nIdentify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or safety coordinator.\r\nCollaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.\r\nWork with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.\r\nComply with all company policies and procedures.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned.\r\nRequirements\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nTechnical degree in engineering, electronics, or a related field.\r\n3–5 years of experience in application engineering or field sales in a technical industry.\r\nEquivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.\r\nPhysical\r\nLong periods of sitting with frequent computer and phone use.\r\nOccasional travel, walking, and standing during customer visits or training sessions.\r\nLifting up to 50 lbs. may be required when transporting samples or materials.\r\nReaching, bending, and movement in technical environments such as labs or manufacturing floors.\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nWork is primarily office-based or remote, with regular customer site visits. May include exposure to industrial environments requiring use of PPE.
