This includes written programs, record keeping, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, training and medical surveillance per guidelines;\n\nDirect, develop and deliver environmental, safety, and health training programs to ensure employee’s knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations pertaining to the operation of the facility;\n\nDevelop, implement and coordinate all Industrial Hygiene activities including non-hazardous, hazardous, and universal and infectious waste disposal;\n\nEnsure all EHS issues identified during internal/external audits and Safety Committee audits are resolved;\n\nManage the facilities environmental and safety reporting including OSHA, EPA, and EPA reporting, record keeping, and environmental permits;\n\nDevelop, implement, and coordinate safety program and monitor work processes and procedures to drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals;\n\nPerform internal audits to identify non-compliance, hazardous conditions and unsafe behaviors; audit scope includes processes, facilities and equipment;\n\nManage improvement opportunities and any non-compliance issues from concept through conclusion;\n\nPerform accidents/incidents investigations and facilitates development of root cause corrections;\n\nConduct hazard assessment, including identification of hazards and corrective action plans;\n\nProvide technical expertise to plant personnel on key governmental regulations pertaining to environmental, health, and safety;\n\nManage environmental documents such as permits, waste manifests, inspections and checklists within the Environmental/Safety Management System;\n\nCollect storm water samples and submit chain of custody forms to the laboratory for proper analytical evaluation;\n\nAssist in preparation of facility environmental audits and inspections;\n\nAssist management in addressing and correcting EHS Compliance Audit findings;\n\nConduct weekly inspections (e.g., waste storage areas, storm water outfalls, etc.) and upload final inspections to Environmental/Safety Management System;\n\nReview waste disposal records by maintaining copies of Manifest;\n\nReview and reconcile monthly waste summary reports;\n\nCollect monthly Wastewater Samples and submit chain of custody forms to the laboratory for proper analytical evaluation;\n\nAssist with review and updating SWPPP/SPCC plans on an annual basis;\n\nConduct monthly/quarterly/annual Storm Water/SPCC Inspections and link final inspection to Environmental/ Safety Management System;\n\nInvestigate, document, and complete internal reporting of spills and chemical releases;\n\nAssist with compliance tracking related to internal EHS Assurance Manual;\n\nRecord hazardous material usage in accordance with various environmental permits;\n\nAssist with preparing Annual/Semi-Annual Reports to various Regulatory Agencies;\n\nAssist with collection of Environmental and Energy Data for Caterpillar Environmental Metrics monthly submittal.\n\nEducation / Training\n\nBachelor's degree in Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, or Engineering related field required;\n\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in EHS field. Master’s degree can be substituted for 3 of the 5 years’ experience.\n\nQualifications And Experience\n\nDemonstrated solid understanding of EHS practices and regulatory requirements;\n\nDemonstrated interpersonal skills;\n\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively at all levels, including company management, staff, contractors, vendors, site, and regulatory personnel;\n\nMust have valid driver’s license;\n\nMust be able to pass a background check which reviews any and all felonies and misdemeanors in the past 7 years;\n\nMust be able to meet requirements of pre-employment, post-offer drug test and fitness for duty medical review and exam;\n\nMust be proficient in MS Office applications;\n\nHigh level of analytical ability to solve complex problems.\n\nBenefits\nCompensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
