The chorus meets every Monday evening during the school year, and The Sheldon provides dinner and transportation each week. The Programming Assistant manages logistics for the program including supervising dinner and rehearsal and takes the direction of the Artistic Director in supporting the rehearsal.\n\nRelated Responsibilities:\n\nUniforms Management (coordinating student selection, ordering, scheduling of tailor for measuring and alterations, collection, and facilitate cleaning).\n\nOrder weekly meals and follow up with all deliveries.\n\nTracking voicelessonand ensemble attendance.\n\nMaintaining a sheet music library and inventory.\n\nClearand concisecommunication with students + parents.\n\nOrdering taxis and all communications around transportation.\n\nSet-up and tear-down all spaces used for private lessons and rehearsal spaces, includinglocking up with the security guard at the end of rehearsal.\n\nSupervision of students before, during, and after rehearsal.\n\nThe Programming Assistant is responsible for the daily logistics of The Sheldon's Volunteer Program, working closely with events and front of house staff to organize a pool of 80 active volunteers as ushers for concerts and assistance with other tasks.\n\nRelated Responsibilities\n\nManage andmaintainvolunteer opportunities and scheduling involunteersoftwareVolunteerMark.\n\nCommunicate with volunteers bysendingout all pre-showcommunications, andcreateandsendmonthly newsletters.\n\nMaintain and Team and plays an important role in executing a variety of other projects and events at The Sheldon and in the St. Louis community.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly-organized, responsible people-person.They are a clear and tactful communicator in written and verbal communications, welcoming and diplomatic.The ideal candidate has leadership skills, and is able to anticipate and prevent problems.No music or art experience is required, but it is a plus.\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nBasic computer literacy, including email, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and readiness to learn new software\n\nStronginterpersonalskills with the ability to communicate effectively with multiple personality types, sensitivities, and cultural backgrounds.\n\nFluent in English\n\nTeam-oriented, but individually motivated\n\nClean background check (Position works with children)\n\nAble to lift and carry up to 30 pounds\n\nAble climb and navigate stairs\n\nAble to attend Monday evening rehearsals
