Under supervision, the parent educator works directly with families providing information to improve parenting leadership skills while also educating in child development. Works directly with caregivers in their homes, providing direct client contact. Provides comprehensive services to caregivers while implementing Parents as Teachers curriculum. Facilitates family access to community resources and ensures families connect with the necessary tools to complete goals and measures. Frequently meets with team supervisor, reviewing data quality, reports, and review assessments. Performs related work as required.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nAssociate’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Social Services, Human Service or related field or two (2) years of experience providing education, social, or child development services to families.\nMust have and maintain a valid Driver’s License\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Social Services, HumanServiceor related field\nExperience working withat-riskpopulations\nResponsibilities:\nPlans and implements home visits using the Parents as Teachers Curriculum.\nLead families in developing a resource network, linking them to community resources.\nRecruiting and retaining new participants through effective community outreach efforts in partnership with school administration.\nDevelop and lead monthly program activities and events.\nAttend and participate in required team, agency, and interdisciplinary meetings.\nEnsure timely completion of all required data entry and adhere to confidentiality policies.\nAssist in the facilitation of after-school program implementation.\nPerform additional duties as required.\nThe hours of work are 35 per week. Required to travel to site locations.\nThis is a grant funded position. Position is contingent on grant funding.\nSkills:\nThe ideal candidate will possess knowledge of family-oriented program coordination and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams, and other related platforms. They should have the ability to plan, coordinate, and implement program initiatives effectively while working independently with minimal supervision. The candidate must be flexible and available to work pre-scheduled evenings and weekends as required to support program activities.
