Maintenance Generalist

This facility operates five or six days a week and produces Pepperoni and Salami.POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for maintenance of facility and repair of manufacturing equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES:Applicants will be considered for a General Mechanic opening in Maintenance Department for executing maintenance and repair work associated with CMMS work orders including repairing line equipment (mixers, grinders, clipper stuffers, slicers, labelers, multivacs, etc.);Pre-check and setup of equipment; cutting, welding electrical work and other duties as assigned.Be able to walk and stand on the cement floor for the shift duration.Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.Must have basic math skills and computer knowledge.Ability to read and comprehend product specifications sheets, assess equipment and demonstrate mechanical knowledge Working knowledge of USDA regulations, plant sanitation standards and procedures preferred.Perform all other duties as assigned.Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level between 40 - 60 pounds repeatedly.Be able to push/manipulate between 40-60 pounds repeatedly.Must be willing to tolerate temperatures of 35 degrees or below for entire shift, be able to walk and stand on concrete floor for the shift duration and able to follow both verbal and written instructions.Requirements:Minimum 6 months of maintenance experience or equivalent combination of an industrial maintenance training program/technical school and experience.Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed and all shifts.
