Receive work-study and/or college credit, while getting paid to do what you love.\nCode Super Powers is known for fun and engaging game-based STEM learning. Children have fun coding drones through aerial combat missions, building custom video games, apps and more. The STEM Team develops and delivers training to students in grades K-12 and academic customers on-site, at conferences, and workshops. They strive to enhance customer success by delivering engaging, practical, and user-friendly training tutorials and materials.\nTopics range from 3D Game Building, Animation, Roblox Coding, Minecraft Modding, Robotics and Drone Extreme Stunts. Prior computer coding experience is preferred, and a willingness to learn new coding skills is required. Our innovative curriculum is self-paced, so students are able to drive their own projects. Instructors guide, motivate, and foster a fun and creative environment.\nEssential duties and responsibilities include the following.\nPassionate about teaching children, in a fun and engaging manner\nHigh energy, enthusiastic and comfortable engaging with parents and students\nCan co-teach the course curriculum and train for independent teaching\nParticipate in team meetings and group project reviews\nAll other responsibilities assigned by management\nAble to mentor and manage groups of students in grades K-8\nGreet and engage with students to build supportive relationships\nHelp students with projects. Provide encouragement and confidence\nHelp prepare virtual or physical rooms before each class, and clean up after class\nMinimum Requirements:\nReliable transportation\nReliable high-speed internet and a computer with webcam\nAble to travel to afterschool program sites\nAssimilate technical and academic information quickly\nThink flexibly and employ innovative solutions\nTake initiative to solve problems creatively\nWork on a variety of tasks, shift easily from one task to another, and complete in a timely manner\nOrganize and prioritize his/her work\nHighly trainable and open to feedback and direction\nIndirect Benefits:\nThis position provides the opportunity to work side-by-side with our leadership teams as they provide support, implement products, and provide education with award-winning K-12 STEM curriculum.\nThe instructor will receive free world-class training on multiple technologies.
