At OneSource, we offer a supportive culture and great benefits, and as part of the larger Sonepar group, we can provide exciting opportunities to grow your career.\n\nWhat you will do:\nDeliver orders to customer job sites or other requested locations while adhering to all safety procedures.\nLoad and unload materials and return undelivered material to the warehouse.\nNotify QA Team and/or Supervisor of materials returned to warehouse.\nLabel items returned to warehouse, noting of disposition i.e re-deliver, cancelled order, wrong material, etc.\nCheck quantities of goods received and obtain proper signatures for deliveries.\nTransfer materials between OneSource warehouse locations.\nProject a positive company image when delivering directly to our customers.\nCoordinate the scheduling of deliveries.\nCare and maintain vehicles through routine inspections. Submit truck condition reports to leadership.\nAudit assembled items to confirm the accuracy of each delivery using the sales ticket.\nObserve all safety rules and regulations, particularly the hazards encountered with driving a truck.\nUnderstand and abide by the Federal Highway Administration Rules and Regulations for drivers where applicable. Maintain driver log according to D.O.T. regulations.\nKeep accurate records and submit expense reports for reimbursement of expenditures as required.\nComplete a Pre-Trip and Post Trip DVIR log.\nSchedule all necessary deliveries and pick-ups of materials and packages for the company using the most efficient and effective means.\nAssist the warehouse team with projects such as warehouse housekeeping duties, withdrawing merchandise to fill orders, preparing orders, organizing merchandise and stock.\nOther responsibilities may be assigned.\n\nWhat you will bring:\nHigh School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D)\nThree to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nKnowledge of electrical goods is important, and the truck driver is expected to acquire this knowledge for the positive identification of delivered items.\nMaintain a good driving record and be properly licensed.\nA solid understanding of the local delivery route.\nKnowledge of branch product lines.\nKnowledge of shipping and receiving practices.\nKnowledge of Company policies and procedures.\nSkill in organizing and prioritizing personnel and work activities.\nValid driver’s license (class A, B, or C) with a clean motor vehicle record.\nAbility to pass the DOT physical (for applicable driving positions)\n\nPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand (up to 100% of the shift).\nRequired to routinely lift and handle materials up to one hundred (100) pounds, unassisted.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nClimb ladders, squat, and bend.\n\nLocation: This role is based in Soquel, CA\n\nWork hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM\n\nSalary Range:\nThis is a non-exempt position and pays between $22.55 - $25.77 per hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California.
