Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this role serves as the senior safety leader for the company and partners closely with executive leadership to drive safety performance across all operations.This position offers a salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 annually, based on experience, plus a vehicle allowance, company fuel card, expense card, comprehensive benefits package, and direct exposure to executive leadership.Candidates with prior corporate, regional, or enterprise safety leadership experience supporting large general contractors, EPC contractors, industrial contractors, infrastructure contractors, or similarly complex construction organizations are strongly preferred.Position SummaryThe Corporate Director of Safety reports directly to the Chief Risk maintain corporate safety policies, procedures, standards, and management systemsPartner with Operations, Project Management, Human Resources, and executive leadership to strengthen safety performance and accountabilityDevelop safety programs supporting crane operations, rigging activities, steel erection, heavy lifting, transportation, fabrication, and specialty construction operationsConduct safety assessments, audits, and operational reviews across multiple project locationsLead investigations involving serious incidents, near misses, and high-potential eventsImplement structured root cause analysis and corrective action programsMonitor safety performance trends and develop strategies to reduce organizational riskDevelop leading and lagging safety performance indicators and reporting systemsOversee safety training initiatives and support workforce development programsMentor and develop safety professionals throughout the organizationEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety regulationsPromote a proactive culture focused on hazard recognition, prevention, accountability, and continuous improvementRequirementsBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, or a related field requiredOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction Certification requiredMinimum 10 years of progressive construction safety leadership experience requiredDemonstrated experience developing and managing enterprise safety programs across multiple projects, regions, or business units requiredStrong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration construction regulations, including 29 CFR 1926 standardsExperience leading serious incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action programs, and risk reduction initiativesExperience partnering directly with executive leadership, operational leadership, and project teamsStrong communication, leadership, relationship-building, and influence skillsAbility to travel regularly to project sites, fabrication facilities, equipment yards, and operational locationsPreferred QualificationsOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 500 Construction Outreach Trainer CertificationCertified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar professional credentialPrior safety leadership experience with a large general contractor, industrial contractor, EPC contractor, infrastructure contractor, or similarly complex construction organizationExperience supporting steel erection, crane operations, rigging operations, heavy lifting activities, industrial construction, manufacturing construction, data center construction, or infrastructure projectsExperience leading organizational change initiatives and enterprise safety culture transformation effortsExperience managing and developing safety teams across multiple locationsWork Environment & LocationThis position is based at the company's Atlanta, Georgia headquarters.Candidates should currently reside within the greater Atlanta metropolitan area and be able to regularly work from the Atlanta office.
