Fargo, ND 58102\n\nPosition Summary: The Quality Control Technician ensures the integrity and safety of both raw ingredients and finished goods through rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety standards and quality assurance practices in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nQuality Inspections & Product Testing:\nInspect incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods for compliance with company and regulatory standards.\nPerform various quality samples on raw materials and finished products, including moisture content, purity, and foreign material detection.\nDocument test results and analyze data to identify trends and potential quality issues.\nDocumentation & Reporting:\nEnsure that all quality control activities follow industry regulations and company policies, including food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).\nMaintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control measures, including detailed reports and logs.\nPrepare and review quality documentation, including certificates of analysis and quality reports.\nCompliance & Safety:\nEnsure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other relevant standards.\nParticipate in internal audits and inspections and assist with the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.\nFollow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.\nReport any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.\nProblem Resolution:\nIdentify and investigate quality issues, working closely with production staff to determine root causes and implement solutions.\nAssist in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence of quality issues.\nProvide recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.\nTraining & Support\nProvide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting solutions.\nOccasional support at nearby processing facilities\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:\nExperience in a quality assurance or quality control role\nUnderstanding of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and quality assurance principles.\nExcellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.\nStrong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nMust be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and food-grade equipment.\nSome flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate schedules and quality inspections.\n\nCompany Benefits:\nAt Red River Commodities, we value our employees and are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
