This role offers a fast-paced environment where you will work with senior personnel to develop advanced skills and contribute to critical projects. We are looking for individuals with strong technical fundamentals in low-level systems programming who are eager to learn our product deeply and assist in system integration. This position requires working primarily onsite with some hybrid flexibility.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDesign and develop embedded software using C/C++ within constrained environments.\nImplement state machines and handle asynchronous events (e.g., interrupts, signals).\nWork with operating system concepts including process scheduling, resource sharing, and synchronization.\nIntegrate networking capabilities into embedded devices (basic IP/MAC layer knowledge required).\n\nQualifications\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nExperience: 1-3 years of professional experience in embedded systems development\nCore OS Knowledge: Solid understanding of fundamental OS concepts (kernel vs. user space, task scheduling, memory management, and synchronization primitives).\nProgramming Languages: Proficiency in Python, C and/or C++, including object-oriented principles.\nNetworking Basics: Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, MAC addresses, packet inspection tools).\nAutonomy: Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently within assigned tasks.\nDocumentation: Proven track record of learning from specification documents and adapting to new protocols or standards.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience with containerized Linux user space applications.\nExposure to Yocto or kernel driver development (not mandatory, but beneficial).\nExperience with space networking technologies and standards.\nDoD Secret clearance.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nCompensation: Base salary range is $90,000-115,000/ year, depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus.
