This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. Dyno Technicians work side-by-side with the Engine Build Technicians and there are some shared activities.\n\nSpecific responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nConduct dynamometer testing of engines, following established procedures\nConduct ECU calibration for optimizing engine performance\nCollaborate with Engineers to execute test plans and ensure the integrity of test data\nPrepare and set up test cells according to specified configurations\nExecute testing procedures as outlined in project specifications\nMaintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and install testing equipment with proper documentation\nCollect data during testing activities, maintain accurate records\nAssemble instrumentation and ancillaries on test engines\nAssemble and modify test setups, working closely with the supervising Test Engineer\nDebug mechanical, electrical, and software problems\nAssist with test data collection, storage, and publishing of test reports\n\nOverlap with Engine Build Technicians duties may include:\nFabricate and/or assemble test rigs and tooling for engine components\nAssemble test engines, including instrumentation and inspections (photos, measurements)\nMaintain databases of component inventory, engine build logs, and hardware run times\nFinish and inspect engine components using hand and/or machine tools\nTear down post-test engines including post-test inspections report writing\n\nAdditionally:\nCommunicate professionally with teammates both on and off site to resolve technical problems\nMaintain a spirited, open-minded personality and \"can-do\" attitude during the course of unavoidable failures inherent to the R&D process\nContinuously improve facilities by keeping it clean, organized, and prepared for tests and customer demonstrations\nAssist as needed with computer/IT tasks, procurement/purchasing tasks, and shop/building maintenance.
