They’re looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, securing Microsoft environments, owning enterprise security platforms, and continuously improving the organization’s security posture.The ideal path will have been someone from Systems Administrator/Engineer Engineer → Security Engineer → Cybersecurity Lead/Manager.We anticipate this position being 80% hands-on (Lead individual contributor), 20% leadership/management. We are looking for both tactical work and strategic contribution to building a security program.What You’ll DoLead cybersecurity initiatives across the enterpriseOwn security tooling, vulnerability management, and incident responsePartner with executive leadership to prioritize security projectsMentor a junior security analyst and manage external security vendorsHelp evolve and strengthen an existing security programContribute to Systems Admin and Engineering tasks as needed, in collaboration with other EngineersWhat They’re Looking ForStrong Microsoft background (Azure, Entra ID/Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Hyper-V)Security experience with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Rapid7, etcExperience securing enterprise environmentsHands-on cybersecurity engineering or security operations experienceComfortable balancing security with some infrastructure responsibilitiesFamiliarity with NIST and enterprise security best practicesThis role is ideal for someone who started their career in systems engineering or infrastructure and naturally transitioned into cybersecurity.
