{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b72ebd2dbf5647ca339a98aa","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b72ebd2dbf5647ca339a98aa","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b72ebd2dbf5647ca339a98aa","title":"Electrical Engineer","description":"Location: Waterville, OHEmployment type: Full time Exempt positionBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and 401(k)/Profit SharingSalary: Competitive and commensurate with experiencePosition SummaryThis individual is responsible for Programming, Commissioning, and Startup of PLC based automation systems.  The position responsibilities include system design, planning and creating programs, in-house debug, and field start-up of an automated system.  A typical system includes an AB Logix PLC, FANUC robot, and an HMI.  The person in this role will work as part of an overall design team specifying control requirements and sequence of operations.  Most of the job will be performed at the Company’s location, with travel required for start-up, servicing, and commissioning at customer facilities.Role DescriptionThe Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and document electrical systems for automated lines, including robotic palletizers, stretch wrap systems, and conveyor equipment.Daily responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, selecting components, supporting power distribution and control systems, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.The role involves collaborating with account managers, mechanical, controls, and production teams, assisting with system testing and commissioning, and providing technical support during installation and troubleshooting.Qualifications - Experience, Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to industrial automation systems.Proficiency in Electrical Design, including creating schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using relevant Auto CAD LT tools.Develop and write PLC programs to integrate multiple material handling devices with a robot to create an integrated production system.Edit and interface HMI programs with PLC and robot functions.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.Hands-on problem-solving skills and willingness to support on-site testing, installation, and troubleshooting at the customer's facility with the ability to travel domestically 25-30% of the time.Prior experience in automation, robotics, or material handling systems is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant experience.Kaufman Engineered Systems has been a leader in complete line automation for 80 years, serving hundreds of companies that value single-source convenience and responsive service.
