Analyzes and troubleshoots computer support problems and applies understanding of computer software and hardware products to resolve problems for end users. Maintains office hardware and software inventories.\n\nA typical day as a Support Engineer might include the following:\nProvides excellent technical assistance and desktop support to end users.\nInstalls, modifies, and repairs computer hardware and software.\nTroubleshoots computer systems and/or printer hardware issues.\nTroubleshoots software issues.\nTroubleshoots miscellaneous network and server issues.\nAsks questions to determine nature of the problem.\nWalks end users through the problem-solving process.\nDocuments end users queries, problems, and solutions.\nFollows up with end users to ensure issue has been resolved.\nProvides onsite support for Help Desk in a multi-location office.\nMaintains office hardware and software inventories.\nServes as a back-up resource for the Help Desk call center.\nEnsures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.\nMaintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.\n\nQualifications:\nWho You Are\nYou have an Associate’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.\nYou have 2-4 years of experience with Microsoft products.\nYou have 2-4 years of experience with PC hardware.\nYou have Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.\nYou have working knowledge PC and printer hardware.\nYou have outstanding customer service skills.\nYou have proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.\nYou can communicate clearly in writing and verbally.\nYou can work independently with minimal supervision.\nYou can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.\nYou can establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.\nThis position requires prolonged standing and sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.\n\nMust be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.\n\nMaking an Impact Together\nPeople join Eide Bailly for the opportunities and stay because of the culture.
