This is a hands-on leadership role that blends regulatory expertise with strong floor presence to build a culture where safety, compliance, and accountability are part of how work gets done every day.\nYou’ll implement, maintain, and continuously improve EHS programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Working closely with operations, maintenance, HR, and leadership, you’ll identify risks, lead corrective actions, support training, and influence safe behaviors across the organization. This role requires regular time on the floor and between sites—approximately 60% in Irwindale and 40% in Santa Fe Springs—based on operational needs.\nSchedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is a full-time, exempt position that regularly requires extended hours and occasional weekend work to support operations.\n\nPrincipal Responsibilities (Accountabilities):\n\nDevelop, implement, and monitor EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.\nConduct regular inspections and audits at both locations to identify and mitigate safety hazards and environmental risks.\nLead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.\nProvide EHS training and education to employees to enhance safety awareness and compliance.\nCollaborate with site leadership to develop and drive a proactive safety culture.\nMaintain required EHS documentation, records, and reports in accordance with regulatory and corporate requirements.\nOversee hazardous waste management, spill response, and environmental sustainability initiatives.\nServe as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, auditors, and emergency response teams as needed.\nAssist in the development and execution of emergency preparedness and response plans.\nDevelop and update new Injury & Illness Prevention Plan.\nEvaluate and prioritize equipment and machinery for development of machine-specific LOTO procedures.\nConduct Cal OSHA Training.\nOrganize and lead Monthly Executive Safety Committee Meetings.\nConduct Monthly/Quarterly Supervisor and Lead Training.\nProvide Monthly Training on Rotating Topics.\nPerform Site Safety Compliance Inspections (Monthly).\nConduct Certified Forklift Operator Training.\nConduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.\nMonitor workplace conditions and coordinate necessary improvements to reduce injuries and environmental impact.\nEnsure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety measures.\nDevelop and present safety training programs, including new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher courses.\nInvestigate workplace accidents and near-misses, providing reports and recommendations for prevention.\nSupport ergonomic assessments and workplace wellness initiatives.\nWork closely with site supervisors and employees to ensure adherence to safety protocols.\nCoordinate EHS committee meetings and drive engagement in safety initiatives.\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\nMinimum of 3-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.\nStrong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local environmental and safety regulations.\nCertification such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, or CIH is preferred but not required.\nExperience conducting
