This position plays a critical role in safely transporting raw materials, finished goods, and production components throughout the plant while supporting shipping, receiving, and manufacturing teams.\nThe ideal candidate will have previous experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or other industrial material handling equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:\nSafely operate overhead crane systems to transport materials throughout the facility\nLoad, unload, stage, and move raw materials and finished products\nSupport production operations by delivering materials to designated machine centers\nOperate forklifts and additional material handling equipment as needed\nPerform material handling activities while maintaining inventory accuracy\nUtilize RF scanners and inventory systems to track and validate material movement\nAssist with receiving, cycle counts, physical inventories, and material verification\nLoad and unload materials from storage racks and designated staging areas\nInspect lifting devices, rigging equipment, and crane systems prior to operation\nFollow all company safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA guidelines\nMaintain a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S methodology\nCommunicate effectively with production, shipping, receiving, and leadership teams\nMake recommendations for process improvement and operational efficiency\nPerform additional duties as assigned\nPrimary Qualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred\nPrevious experience operating overhead cranes, gantry cranes, hoists, or similar industrial lifting equipment preferred\nPrior work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment\nForklift and material handling equipment experience preferred\nBasic knowledge of rigging practices, load balancing, and safe lifting procedures\nAbility to safely transport oversized, heavy, or awkward materials throughout a production environment\nExperience loading and unloading materials from storage racks, trailers, or production areas\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety\nAbility to inspect lifting equipment and identify potential safety concerns\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and independently troubleshoot operational issues\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills\nWillingness to work overtime as needed\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively with production personnel\nAbility to read work instructions, production schedules, and safety documentation\nAbility to perform basic math functions and measurements\nOSHA, overhead crane, or rigging certifications are a plus, but not required\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
