Your ability to appreciate diverse viewpoints, welcome constructive feedback, and communicate passionately about enhancing team performance will be essential in fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\nManage database administration tasks, including design layout, installation, configurations, upgrades, consolidation, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance.\n\nCreate and maintain stored procedures, views, tables, and PL/SQL scripts, along with associated documentation.\n\nFacilitate data conversion and server migrations.\n\nOversee database implementation, security, access privileges, and routine maintenance duties.\n\nIdentify and troubleshoot technical environment issues, providing effective solutions to mitigate problems.\n\nMentor and cross‑train team members, working both independently and as part of a team.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant database experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience. Additional relevant experience may substitute for academic qualifications.\n\nMust be a US Citizen with the capability to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance.\n\nProven experience in database administration, with a strong ability to develop and maintain scripts, procedures, and documentation.\n\nExperience in conducting database backups and recovery processes.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nActive Secret or higher security clearance preferred.\n\nExperience with data solution migration/implementation in cloud environments.\n\nFamiliarity with containerized databases.\n\nExperience in database modeling/architecture.\n\nKnowledge of web application technologies, such as Weblogic and Apache.\n\nExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git).\n\nFamiliarity with Agile Development methodologies.\n\nProficiency with multiple operating systems (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, etc.).\n\nExperience with at least one Relational Database Management System, preferably PostgreSQL.\n\nSkilled in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.\n\nIf you seek an environment where innovation and speed are prioritized, then this opportunity at Leidos is for you.
