A successful Warehouse Technician should be able to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities.\r\nMust have forklift experience.\r\nMust be ok with overtime.\r\nRequirements\r\nCount, weigh, or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, bills or other records.\r\nAssemble cardboard or wooden containers or select preassembled containers.\r\nInsert items into containers.\r\nExamine and unpack incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items.\r\nRoute items to various departments.\r\nAffixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment.\r\nExamine incoming shipments to ensure they meet specifications.\r\nOperate lift truck or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage area.\r\nSort, count, identify, verify, and track all material to maintain accurate inventory records.\r\nVerify receipts and log them according to required procedures.\r\nInvestigate and resolve situations where items received are not properly documented in the daily receipt log.\r\nRegularly enter inventory data into system of record on a timely basis.\r\nAssist management in recycling material in the warehouse.\r\nCooperate with representatives from other departments in the organization to provide warehouse information as requested.\r\nPerform regular material warehouse audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly throughout the warehouse.\r\nSafely utilize forklifts and power jacks to move warehouse materials according to proper safety instructions and as directed.\r\nComplete other duties as assigned by supervision.\r\nRequired Skills\r\nPrevious experience with safe operation of forklift.\r\nPrevious experience with stretch-wrap equipment.\r\nMust be able to interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.\r\nAbility to calculate mathematical values.\r\nMust have a working knowledge of Internet software usage, order processing systems, inventory software and word processing software.\r\nMust be knowledgeable in warehousing procedures.\r\nAbility to give attention to detail is a must.\r\nFlexibility with workhours and shifts, ability to work weekends, on-call, or overtime.\r\nEducation & Experience\r\n1-2 years of experience working as a shipping coordinator\r\nHigh School Diploma\r\nOffered Benefits\r\n401(k)\r\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\r\nBasic Life, AD&D, Short and Long term Disability insurance\r\nVoluntary benefits\r\nFSA and HSA\r\nPTO\r\nW-Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
