The Client Development Manager assists in implementing programs that support practice group business plans and enhance the business and reputation of the firm. The incumbent will successfully assist in managing multiple competing priorities within a matrix environment and establish solid working relationships with diverse personalities across multiple offices. Akerman has adopted a hybrid work environment.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nWorking with the Senior Client Development Manager to develop and implement client development, marketing, and communications plans.\n\nMeeting with practice group leaders on a frequent basis.\n\nCreating and monitoring client development programs, including cross-selling initiatives.\n\nManaging development of client-specific presentations, proposals, and RFP/RFI responses as well as other client-facing materials.\n\nManaging development of all practice-related collateral for general use in print and on firm website.\n\nSupports senior manager to onboard new laterals joining the practice group.\n\nDevelops story placement ideas for media relations team and identifies speaker placement opportunities.\n\nTracks completed matter details and manages practice submissions for directories, databases, and other publications as needed.\n\nIdentifies opportunities for sponsorships and other brand-building opportunities\n\nCoordinates practice-related events and sponsorships.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree\n\n8 to 10 years of experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100 or professional services firm, in a business development or marketing role\n\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\n\nAbility to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing\n\nAbility to work with individuals at all levels across the firm, and to work well in a team environment, collaborating effectively with team members with varying perspectives\n\nStrong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe\n\nExperience working with Private Equity and Investment Banking industries preferred\n\nWe offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.
