The Electrical Engineer will report to the Chief Engineer and support with global and detailed level design, technical analysis, and resolution of engineering problems. The projected salary range for this position, based on experience, is $120k-140k.\n \n We offer competitive salaries in addition to medical, dental, vision, 401 (k), life insurance, etc.\nDuties:\nDesign and implement an embedded Processor Control Platform. Assists other engineers and designers. Provide direction and coordination of electrical design for large projects. Directs and coordinates manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.\n \n\nPrepare electrical designs for large-scale projects.\nApply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specification and selection.\nAnalyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions.\nLead and direct engineers, designers, and support personnel on large-scale projects.\nDesign of Embedded Processor-based digital equipment.\nConsiderations of EMI/RFI Compliance in Hardware System Architecture.\nPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.\nConduct investigative and qualification testing to military and aerospace requirements\nWrite engineering technical reports typically expected during multi-year aerospace development programs\nAssist with company's introduction of new but proven technologies to ensure first-in-class product reliability, safety, and operational productivity.\nAssist the production floor with troubleshooting of electrical components for first and continuing production articles.\nWorks closely with other engineers of other disciplines to meet technical objectives laid out by project managers or other management teams\nWorks courteously and resolutely with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals.\n\n \nRequired Education and Experience:\n\nMinimum B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited school\nPossesses superior engineering skills\nMust have knowledge of aerospace electrical engineering and design, and be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices\nRelevant experience with the development of aerospace actuators and sensors\nExperience with analog-based motion controls and processor-based motion controls.\nExperienced in electrical engineering development and systems engineering activities in support of military or commercial marketplaces.\nFamiliarity with Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar software tools.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills required, with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents\nExcellent problem-solving and time management skills.\nExcellent business and technical communication skills.\nFamiliarity with methods applying conformance to RTCA DO-254\nSPI, Ethernet, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1551, CAN Bus design experience\nKnowledge of DO-160, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461 requirements\n\n \nBreeze-Eastern is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity.
