This position is an opportunity to join a world class team that is bringing state of the art hardware solutions to the Electronic Warfare, Power and Test Automation industries. The Hardware Design Engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary subsystem design team, which performs integrated product development using innovative RF/Microwave packaging and integrated command and control functionality.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nDesign and lead the development of products including RF subsystems, power distribution units and discrete power supplies.\nComponent selection of active and passive devices or modules to meet system requirements.\nDevelop and document compliance and test matrices based on customer specifications.\nModel, design, simulate, assemble and test prototypes, and perform data analysis to ensure compliance with product specifications.\nLead hands on, technical troubleshooting efforts to resolve performance issues.\nCreate or assist in documenting engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, and accompanying drawing packages for new / existing product, procedures, or tooling / fixtures.\nAssist Sales, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality departments in resolving product issues, complaints, waiver requests, and in answering customer inquiries.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nU.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (Secret Level) desired.\nBS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum 4 years of design experience in RF or power distribution circuit design.\nKnowledge of RF theory or AC and DC power conditioning principles as well as military and regulatory standards is beneficial.\nAbility to perform calculations, analysis, measurements, and reporting as needed to create custom solutions.\nExperience in the use of various test instruments including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc. Ability to automate test equipment is a plus.\nExperience using simulation tools such as AWR, Genesys, HFSS, PSpice, LTspice or PowerCAD.\nProficiency in office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as required.\nFamiliarity with CAD systems such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.\nExperience with modern manufacturing methods and electrical/ electronic assembly.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will be on-site in our Frederick, MD facility.\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\n\nThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
