Health Center School Nurse PositionABOUT EAGLEBROOK SCHOOLEaglebrook is a junior boarding and day school for boys in grades six, seven, eight and nine, located in Deerfield, Massachusetts. Founded in 1922, Eaglebrook's vision is to help each student develop his unique gifts during the important middle school years, and our mission is to meet boys where they are in their development and to encourage them to build self-confidence through success. Eaglebrook offers a rich and diverse curriculum geared toward the learning styles of middle school boys. The Health Center includes a team of nurses, a physician, counselors, psychologist, athletic trainers and a wellness coordinator who work together to ensure the student's health needs are met.Position(s): Evening & Night ShiftNurse role at boarding and day schoolPay commensurate with experienceShift Differential & Holiday PayExperience and ability to work independently preferred but willing to teachEMR Used: MagnusPatient Type: Pediatrics/Middle ChildhoodQualifications:Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Minimum 1 years of experienceSatisfactory background checkAuthorized to work in the United StatesRESPONSIBILITIES :The Nurse is responsible for overseeing medical needs and ensuring that the overall general physical health of our students is met in accordance with state and federal guidelines.Provide first aid care and health assessment to ensure the safety and well-being of studentsWrite care plans and coordinate the care of students with chronic or acute health conditionsAssess and evaluate care specific to developmental stagesMaintains current documentation for each student of all services providedAdminister medications and monitor delegated medication administrationAssist with referrals as needed to the EBS counselors, athletic trainers, psychologist or outside referralSkills to participate as a member of a multidisciplinary education teamCoordinate and triage emergency care with faculty, staff and outside resourcesAbility to relate to children and communicate with student's and the school communityMaintain regular communication with the family/guardian regarding student's health needsCollaborate with families in accessing health insurance, medications and health care servicesEducate and train staff on: asthma, life threatening allergies, diabetes, and blood borne pathogensCompetent with office based programs (google drive, microsoft office), and administrative dutiesJob Types: Full-time (4-5 shifts per week), Part-time (2-3 shifts per week)Night shift (11p-7a)Evening Shift (3p-11p)Summer Program hours availableBenefits : Available for full time and qualified employeesProfessional Development support401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible and Health Savings accountHealth insuranceLife insuranceMinimum Education: Associate Degree or DiplomaLicense/Certification:BLS CertificationMassachusetts RN License or LPN License
