The primary focus is on managing and controlling the process to meet customer requirements with a strong emphasis of safety and quality. The position is the subject matter expert for Silicon etching for Semiconductor components in the company; and leads and establish required etch processes to customers.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nResponsible to develop and implement wet etch chemistry processes in manufacturing.\n\nEvaluate new tool capabilities and modify existing tool for new product processing to meet customer requirements\n\nDefine process conditions to achieve safety standards, quality, cost, and capacity for the chemical etch processes\n\nEstablish critical to quality process parameters and work with manufacturing to define process controls ensuring etch processes operate at optimum performance\n\nPartner with Research and Development Team to receive new etch technologies, implement the new technologies for manufacturing success.\n\nEvaluation of current processes to establish capability and implement improvements to enhance processes and products\n\nResponsible for developing and establish process capability and process control, repeatability, and stability through SPC, engineering controls, and other effective process management methods.\n\nResponsible for project planning, creating budgets, and Return on Investment to ensure you meet Annual Operating Plans. Commits to deliverables and is accountable for executing projects on-time and within budget.\n\nCollaborate cross functionally to support business requirements for chemical etch process.\n\nDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures.\n\nApplication of Lean manufacturing concepts, including 5S, SMED, Single Part Flow.\n\nCarries out special projects and all other additional duties per business needs in etch clean area.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor or Master of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering\n\n5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or Semiconductor industry\n\nKnowledge of wet chemistries focused on Silicon etching with interaction of chemistries and impact of product parameters\n\nKnowledge of Si – surface cleaning\n\nProficient in reading part drawings and in interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)\n\nExperience in Lean technologies in a manufacturing environment including advanced problem solving/6-sigma skills\n\nDemonstrated skills in process control and process optimization\n\nMust be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects with competing priorities\n\nMust be able to perform successfully under minimum supervision\n\nCompetent with MSOffice Suite products and advance skills in Microsoft Excel\n\nStatistical analysis software experience, preferably JMP or Minitab\n\nExperience with Quality Systems, Conformance, and Compliance standards\n\nKnowledge of Special Process Controls and or Copy Exact and other Semi Standards\n\nEquipment Operated\n\nStandard Office Equipment\n\nAbility to learn process equipment including Operator/Maintenance interface with PLCs and machine controls\n\nCulture\n\nDisplay a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.\n\nCreate and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do.
