Investment Strategist & Portfolio Manager
Overview Title: Investment Strategist & Portfolio Manager
Location: Naples, FL (On-site)
Company: Confidential Premier Wealth Management Firm
The Opportunity: We are a thriving private wealth firm in Naples looking for a sophisticated investment professional to join our core leadership team. We are not just looking for an executioner; we are looking for a thinker. This individual will work in close partnership with our Chief Investment Officer to manage our current models while actively contributing to the firm's long-term investment philosophy and strategy. While the CIO leads the firm’s primary investment selection, you will have the capacity to optimize the "how" of our trading—finding efficiencies, suggesting tactical adjustments, and providing research-backed ideas to help expand our firm's investment landscape.
The Role: This is a dual-impact role. You will be responsible for the high-level execution of trades across all client portfolios, but you will also have a seat at the table for strategy. We look to "expand our landscape"—meaning you will be encouraged to bring new ideas and fresh research to the firm beyond our current positions. We are currently seeking an Investment Professional who can marry technical trading precision with a keen analytical mind to help us scale our investment operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Input: Collaborate on asset allocation, security selection, and the development of new investment themes.
· Full-Cycle Trading: Own the trade execution process for equities and fixed income ensuring best execution and minimal slippage.
· Portfolio Optimization: Utilize advanced rebalancing tools to maintain portfolio integrity and tax-efficient outcomes.
· Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research into emerging market trends to provide the CIO with actionable data for "Buys" and "Sells."
Tactical Execution: Manage the daily execution of trades (Equities, Fixed Income, ETFs) across multiple custodians, ensuring best execution and minimal market impact.
Portfolio Management Support: Assist in rebalancing client portfolios and managing cash flows, while identifying opportunities to improve tax efficiency and model alignment.
Collaborative Research: Conduct fundamental and technical research on existing and prospective holdings to support the CIO's decision-making process.
Process Innovation: Bring fresh ideas to the firm’s investment workflows, whether through better software utilization or identifying new niche asset classes for consideration.
Data Integrity: Oversee trade reconciliation and maintain the accuracy of our portfolio management systems (e.g. Black Diamond).
Qualifications:
· 5–10 years in investment management, preferably in an RIA or Private Wealth setting.
Active Series 7/66 or Series 65 preferred. CFP designations will be strongly valued.
· Proven experience in both technical trade execution and fundamental/technical analysis.
· The ability to argue a position with data, yet collaborate with a "firm-first" mindset.
