Our mission is to democratize biotechnology and drive collaboration on a global scale.Role Description:This is a volunteer role for an Audio Engineer at Nucleate Podcast. Tasks include configuring audio equipment and ensuring the audio meets professional standards. Additionally, the Audio Engineer will collaborate with the video team and podcast leads to develop polished episodes that align with the goals of the podcast.*This opportunity is for a one-day, in-person recording in Boston, MA (South Station area). The recording will take place the week of June 15th. If interested, there may be additional opportunities to contribute to the podcast throughout Summer/Fall. Qualifications:Experience with a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or ReaperUnderstanding of microphones and acoustics for recording and optimizing audio quality.Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve technical issuesPrior experience in podcast production or similar audio projects is beneficial.Available for an in-person recording in the Boston area during the week of June 15thNice to Have:Passion for science communication, storytelling, or biotechnologyPlease note: As a non-profit, Nucleate Podcast cannot currently fund paid positions. If you are in school, we can work with your administration to get you course credit for your contributions. You will also be credited during the release of the episode for your role.
