Senior Accountant

Robert Half has partnered with a large manufacturing company that is hiring a senior accountant to their team.The qualified candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance in addition to at least 5 years of experience Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end close processesPrepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAPSupport internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules and documentationAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decision-makingEnsure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standardsIdentify process improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies in accounting workflowsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and special initiativesUtilize accounting software for reporting and analysisInventory and cost accounting experience is a plus ResponsibilitiesEnsure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principlesWork closely with team members to assist with the month-end closeAssist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notesResearch and analyze expense variances for company managementQualifications53+ years' of professional accounting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
