Embark on an exciting opportunity as a Surgical Technologist, delivering expert support in a high-performing, 337-bed medical center with 13 operating rooms and a specialized procedure suite. This contract role calls for an experienced, highly skilled certified surgical tech to be a key member in an advanced operating room where excellence in patient care is a top priority.Schedule & Shift Details 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week Participation in a rotating call schedule (3-4 weeknights per 6 weeks, 1-2 weekend shifts per 6 weeks; 30-minute response time; sleep room available) Holiday coverage via call rotation Shift assignments follow a 6-week scheduling cycle Qualifications & Desired Experience Minimum 2 years of dedicated operating room shift experience as RN, CST, CVOR RN, or CVOR CST Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program is required Active BLS certification; national surgical technologist certification preferred Demonstrated clinical skill in scrubbing for a wide range of cases, including: orthopedic, general, vascular, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, plastics, and cardiothoracic EMR familiarity (EPIC), with comfort using Omnicell, Alaris pumps, and Phillips monitors Open to first-time travelers with solid OR experience Key Responsibilities Scrub across diverse surgeries: general, orthopedics (total joint arthroplasties), spine, plastics, urology, breast, colorectal, and more Maintain high standards for aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulating staff Support efficient room turnover, proper patient positioning, and equipped readiness for all procedures Adhere to 30-minute on-call response requirements, participating in scheduled call as assigned Perks & Support Free on-site parking and scrubs provided Collaboration with dedicated support staff including OR assistants, receptionists, and a 24/7 anesthesia team Comprehensive orientation (five 8-hour shifts), tailored for main OR and CVOR assignments Bring your surgical expertise to a leading edge environment.
