Job Title Adjunct Instructor Pool - Graduate Programs of Nurse Anesthesia (GPNA) Position Summary
Serves as an adjunct faculty for the didactic phase of the DNAP program in either the classroom or the simulation center
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities in the summer, fall, and /or spring courses
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
Certification as a CRNA
Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Texas
Master's degree in nurse anesthesia/comparable or higher
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CRNA preferred
Education/teaching experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to function clinically as a competent CRNA.
Ability to professionally represent & promote the profession and Texas Wesleyan to the public.
Demonstrated ability and strong interest in providing quality education and quality service.
Thorough understanding of nurse anesthesia and its application in the classroom especially as it relates to the education of nurse anesthesia students.
Ability to work effectively with other University personnel.
Ability to comply with rules, standards, regulations, and laws related to student records.
Ability to adhere to University and departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to handle confidential & sensitive matters while complying with FERPA regulations.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Ability to be dedicated to the program's success and to individual students.
