The apprentice will support certified applicators and crew leads in surface preparation, infiltration stopping, coating application, equipment handling, and job site safety practices. This is a hands-on role offering excellent growth potential for individuals pursuing a long-term career in industrial coatings and corrosion control. The Coating Applicator Apprentice must have the ability to travel 90% of the time. Travel will consist of local state and out of state travel.\nWhat you'll do:\nAssist in surface preparation activities including pressure washing, sanding, grinding, and masking\nSupport the setup and cleanup of coating equipment, hoses, and job site materials\nLearn and assist in coating application processes using brush, roller, or spray equipment under supervision\nMix coatings and materials per specifications under the direction of experienced crew members\nFollow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE, including respirators and fall protection\nHelp with environmental monitoring (e.g., dew point, temperature, humidity)\nMaintain a clean and organized work area\nParticipate in safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks\nShow up on time, work hard, and demonstrate a willingness to learn the trade\nAssist in completing daily production and safety logs as required\nWhat you'll bring:\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nStrong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions\nAble to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at height\nComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions\nTeam-oriented with a positive attitude and respectful communication\nAbility to travel 90%+ required\nOSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred\nInterest in pursuing AMPP/SSPC/NACE coatings certification\nAble to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and unrestricted driver’s license with acceptable MVR\nJoin our team to innovate the future of water and wastewater.
