We do this by being deeply knowledgeable, fully capable, and always dependable, and our associates are the driving force behind this commitment.\r\nResponsible for safely facilitating the movement of finished and unfinished material through the manufacturing and production process.\r\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key AccountabilitiesReviews work orders or follows verbal instructions to move pallets and containers from machines.\r\nLoads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.\r\nMoves material from storage or work sites to designated areas. Ensures that operators have all the raw materials to operate their equipment.\r\nStacks and assembles materials into bundles. Bands bundles.\r\nRemoves empty pallets from equipment.\r\nPerforms duties of Shipper/Receiver as assigned.\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\r\nNature and ScopeRefers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.\r\nUnder general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.\r\nNone.\r\nWork EnvironmentTypically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.\r\nRequires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.\r\nTypically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.\r\nEducation and ExperienceHS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
