Join us to make legends happen!\n\nTHE ROLE\nLegends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Safety Assistant. Responsible for supporting the Director of Operations.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nAssist in all aspects of Maintenance CMMS program, including converting maintenance requests to work orders with follow-up, building assets, uploading service tickets and tracking costs, and creating preventive maintenance plans for all life safety, mechanical systems, fleet vehicles, compliance inspections, etc.\n\nAssist in monitoring, enhancing, recommending, implementing and maintaining programs for inspection of facilities and documentation of work orders utilizing CMMS programs (Legends Maintenance) including comprehensive preventative maintenance system for all fixed and moveable assets.\n\nAssist with creating and maintaining physical and electronic ‘library’ of all inspection documentation.\n\nSupport compliance with OSHA regulations and safety policies across all event and non-event operations.\n\nAssist with the compliance for emergency generators, fire suppression systems and all other systems along with the proper documentation of building systems related to Life Safety.\n\nAssist with coordinating the periodic insurance carrier site visits and appropriate documentation and follow up.\n\nLead all safety committee meetings, ensuring accurate minutes are collected and action items are addressed.\n\nWork closely and coordinate with other Managers in Operations Department to ensure that day-to-day needs of the facilities are properly managed through the work order system.\n\nAssist with promoting, training and monitoring for compliance with corporate operational best practices.\n\nConduct frequent facility inspections (both during events and regular business hours) identifying any potential safety hazards and note deficiencies and supervise necessary action plans for remediation.\n\nConduct annual and monthly fire extinguisher checks in all facilities\n\nAssist with creating and conducting quarterly asset management checklists for all facilities\n\nAssist with special projects at and around the facility and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nAssist with reporting of Legends Global’s emerging business contractor obligations (JSEB)\n\nAssist with planning and directing outside vendors/contractors work to assure compliance with contracts, local building code, and safety requirements.\n\nAssist in maintaining capital equipment inventory.\n\nAssist with quarterly and yearly inventory of all assets and equipment.\n\nGenerate and maintain reports and updates for direct manager and other building directors as needed\n\nAssist with scheduling meetings (internal and external)\n\nOther Duties as Assigned\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNo immediate direct supervisory role.\n\nQualifications\n\nExcellent customer service skills are a must as the position requires frequent interaction with customers, vendors and visitors to the facilities.\n\nMust have attention to detail and ability to multi-task.\n\nMust react with a positive attitude and productively handle tasks as assigned.\n\nMust communicate effectively with all members of the Legends staff.\n\nMust be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.\n\nMust be results driven and have good organizational skills.\n\nMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the City’s driving requirements for City equipment.\n\nWork independently, exercising effective judgment and initiative while maintaining transparency and keeping direct manager up to date on all aspects of work.\n\nOrganize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.\n\nWork effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule while producing accurate results.\n\nAbility to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings and other related materials.\n\nFollow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.\n\nBe proficient in basic computer skills operating in standard word, spreadsheet, email, CMMS and BAS programs.\n\nStrong customer service orientation is essential.\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks with strong time management skills\n\nAbility to use common office equipment such as computers, copies, fax machines, scanners, etc.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communications skills required\n\nEducation and/or Experience\n\nPost-Secondary degree preferred.\n\n2-3 years’ experience in construction and/or project management required.\n\nFacilities experience preferred.\n\nSkills and Abilities\n\nWorking knowledge building construction, HVAC, fire detection and suppression systems, electrical systems, security, escalator, and elevator operations a plus.\n\nGood written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.\n\nCAD experience preferred.\n\nComputer Skills\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD.\n\nDemonstrate command of Microsoft Excel and Power Point\n\nOther Qualifications\n\nValid Driver’s License\n\nAbility to move quickly from one area to another.\n\nInvolves walking, standing, bending, stooping and climbing stairs\n\nUse hands to handle files, type and operate office machines.\n\nExtensive communication via phone and/or email will be required at times.\n\nMust be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.\n\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to handle office correspondence\n\nRequires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and
