The ideal candidate would be currently enrolled in a graduate program pursuing a master’s degree.\n\nPosition Type: 20-40 hours per week | Hybrid | Salem, VA\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, and validate new and updated embedded AMB control system software\n\nCode, debug, and analyze system performance to ensure reliable operation\n\nIntegrate software with hardware components and test system functionality\n\nCreate and maintain technical documentation\n\nSupport software quality assurance efforts and testing protocols\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned\n\nEducation\n\nRequired: Pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.\n\nExperience & Technical Skills\n\nCoursework or project experience in embedded control system software development, including real-time closed-loop control systems\n\nProficiency in C/C++ and Assembly programming, with exposure to microcontrollers, microprocessors, and RTOS environments\n\nExperience with hardware-software integration, debugging, and testing techniques\n\nFamiliarity with embedded software design patterns and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)\n\nWorking knowledge of power management principles and cybersecurity fundamentals\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate root causes and implement effective countermeasures\n\nOther Skills: Collaborates well within multidisciplinary teams, takes initiative in problem-solving, and effectively prioritizes competing tasks\n\nU.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.\n\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21.00-$32.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
