{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b63a3549925d3c496241fe09","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b63a3549925d3c496241fe09","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b63a3549925d3c496241fe09","title":"Customer Quality Engineer","description":"PRIMARY FUNCTION:\nTo ensure products and manufacturing processes meet customer, regulatory, industry and company standards by utilizing advanced statistical tools and problem-solving methodologies to establish, maintain and continuously improve product and process quality.\n\nRESPONSIBILTIES:\n\nWork directly with customers, supplier quality and subcontractors to plan, develop and implement typical quality activities such as PPAP, Control Plans, etc.\n\nMake data driven decisions which promote corporate goals and core principals.\n\nFocus on timeliness of results.\n\nWrite and implement quality system standards, procedures and work instructions.\n\nEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and TS16949 standards.\n\nPartner with cross functional teams to promote a positive and productive quality culture.\n\nLead and actively participate in cross-functional activities to drive continuous improvement.\n\nBuild customer relationships based on trust and partnership.\n\nCommunicate customer specific requirements to both internal and external supplier partners.\n\nPerform product, process, and systems audits.\n\nPlan and perform typical quality duties such as Cpk, SPC, 8D, and Corrective Action and Preventive Action activities.\n\nAnalyze problems with products, processes or systems and develop and implement timely solutions.\n\nContainment and disposition of material or product that is suspect or nonconforming.\n\nValidate and approve product, process and quality system deviations as appropriate.\n\nStop production or shipments to the customer if required.\n\nTrain quality department and other personnel as required.\n\nAssure timely and successful completion of APQP and Launch activities.\n\nMaintain a positive working relationship with customers, subcontractors, and PSAM departments and groups.\n\nMonitor and report quality function performance as required.\n\nPerform other projects and duties assigned by the External Quality Manager.\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\n\nTwo (2) year degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing or quality engineering.\n\nFour (4) years’ experience in automotive industry’s quality functions (e.g. PPAP, FMEA, SPC and Control Plans).\n\nExceptional communication skills, including verbal, written, conflict resolution and negotiation skills are required.\n\nA Working knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and technical specifications interpretation is preferred.\n\nA working knowledge of measurement systems analysis and laboratory measurement equipment and hand tools is preferred.\n\nA working knowledge of calibration systems and testing laboratory procedures is preferred.\n\nComputer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareandanalytical tools.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS\n\nFull time position\n\nMust work in a professional and courteous manner with coworkers\n\nOpen to work in a diverse work environment\n\nManufacturing environment may incur extreme temperature variation\n\nOccasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds\n\nStanding up to 90% of the workday\n\nAbility to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)\n\nAbility to maintain a US driver’s license\n\nAbility to maintain a passport\n\nProspira America Corporation is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
