Maintains current knowledge of relevant technical subject matter as assigned.Participates as member of project team. Tracks project documentation through creation, approval, publication, and update lifecycle. Ensures that systems are fully documented and that this documentation is kept up-to-date.Specificaly:For a given proposed change to a procedure (PCR) that has been submitted, determine validity of change, identify required revirewers and approvers of the change and create and track these review assignemtns to completion; revising the procedure to accommodate the change. Evaluate existing PCRs in system to determine impact of change being made. This may require consolidation of multiple changes and assisting with preparation of procedure mark-ups. This will also involve coordnination with multiple Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and customers. Job Farmiliarity Guides must be completed with process SMEs before workign independently. Manager Note : We have about 3000 procedure changes that are in different backlogs. We've gone through and risk identified them and paired down to about 600 different procedure changes that we think represent risk. As part of that, we'd like to bring in 4 technical writers. All resources do need to have access to nuclear data to be able to go in and make these procedure changes, however, they do not need to have a badge at any of the locations because they would not be expected to come onsite. These resources would be responsible for Managing the assignments and pushing the work through.We would have these resources go through a job familiarization guide for our writing process. Also, depending upon the applicant and if they have typed before as part of as part of their experience, then we'd also have them go through a job familiarization guide for typing to make sure that that's done correctly. From there, we would assign them individual procedure changes from those approximately 600 procedures. What procedure writing means in this technical writing position is that the person would open one of these assignments. Inside there would be a PDF. They would open the PDF to find a copy of the procedure and then it would be redlined, essentially. Certain sections would be crossed out and certain sections would have an extra box that would say “add this information here”. What they would do is they'd open it up to see if it makes sense to them. just from a logical standpoint. The resource would then use our procedures to figure out what reviews need to take place to approve the change, who the ultimate owner of that procedure is so they can approve it. These resources would correspond with those folks to implement that change. These resources would also correspond with our DOC control department to issue that change and update it. What we're looking for in this position is people that will be able to work on any of our procedures. Seeking previous experience in nuclear power and would like to see folks that either were work order planners or procedure writers. Both work order planners and previous procedure writers both have the skill set to be able to come in immediately. If we're not able to get folks with that skill set, then I'd be looking at other people that have had nuclear experience in the past with an operations background if possible.These resources will be supporting all of nuclear to pull from a shared queue of documents.SAP knowledge would be nice to have, not required. Previous Adobe/PDF experience. Should have proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.Exprience Reqired3-4 years of previous experience in nuclear power operations and/or 1-2 years of workorder planning and previous procedure writers should be target market. Strong attention to detail/accuracy. Ability to exercise analytical/logical thinking. Able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
