deliver reliable corrosion protection solutions.RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical Support & Customer Solutions Provide technical expertise to customers regarding product selection, application, performance, and optimization.Troubleshoot customer issues using structured data analysis, laboratory testing, plant trials, and on-site evaluation when required.Translate customer requirements into practical, data-supported engineering recommendations.Identify when existing products can be adapted versus when new solutions are required.Support Sales with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and constraints.Application Testing & SimulationDesign and operate test stands that simulate end-user application environments.Move beyond benchtop testing to controlled, real-world performance validation.Establish repeatable testing protocols, structured documentation, and application knowledge retention practices.Generate defensible data to support internal and external recommendations.Product & Process Engineering SupportPartner with R&D on formulation adjustments, product modifications, and new product introductions to ensure application feasibility, manufacturability, and alignment with customer performance requirements.Provide engineering support to Manufacturing for process optimization, process improvement, and issue resolution.Identify opportunities to improve product performance, manufacturability, scalability, and cost efficiency within plant operations.Evaluate engineering solutions relative to plant capabilities and collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality to validate production feasibility.Supplier & Contract Manufacturing EvaluationEvaluate internal production capability relative to customer requirements and identify external manufacturing options when necessary.Conduct technical capability assessments of external manufacturing partners when internal capabilities do not align with customer requirements.Support supplier qualification processes in partnership with Manufacturing and leadership.Develop technical documentation required for external production execution.Support technical transfer and validation activities when external production pathways are implemented.Cross-Functional LeadershipLead cross-functional technical projects without direct authority.Drive clarity in technical decision-making and structured experimentation.Escalate risks and tradeoffs appropriately.Contribute to the long-term development of Cortec’s technical solutions capability.Identify recurring technical issues and trends required).MINIMUM EXPERIENCE5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.Experience translating customer technical requirements into engineered solutions.Experience working cross-functionally with R&D and Manufacturing.Proven ability to succeed in customer-facing technical roles, building trust and delivering technical solutions that meet customer needs.PREFERRED required depending on project and customer needs.
