Front Desk Agent | Weekends Required
The Club Desk employee works at the north and south side buildings and is primarily responsible for welcoming members and guests into the Club while exhibiting an enthusiastic and professional attitude. The employee is responsible for monitor member check ins and charging member accounts as services and/or products are sold. This individual is always patient and courteous with an outgoing personality and has a unique ability to exercise good judgment while providing excellent customer service. This position also provides limited administrative support to the Group Fitness Department.Duties / ResponsibilitiesAcknowledges and greets everyone who comes into the ClubChecks in members / guests, verifies membership status and assists the members and/or guests in finding where they need to beProfessionally handles communications to members with regards to any past due membership accountsObtains signed waivers for members and/ or guests as requiredRegisters participants into programs, collects applicable fees while verifying accurate informationProfessionally handles all incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate staff, if neededResponds to member and/or guest inquiries according to Club policyResponds to any member and/or guest emergency according to Club policyFollows all outlined accounting and cash handling policies and proceduresHandles tennis court reservations and collection of applicable fees, if anyProperly handles Lost & Found items per outlined policies and proceduresAssigns lockers and collects feesMonitors and stocks clean towels, fitness floor wipes, etc.Follows Club policies and procedures regarding member and guest activities and enforces those policiesProvides secondary support for housekeeping by keeping up on cleaning of member/guest areas, folding towels, proactively addressing issues and any other needsMaintains a clean and debris free area including desk and lobby areasMay at times be asked to support special events within ClubMoves throughout the shift with purpose; no personal cell phone usage during shiftComplies with Club's employee handbook manual, departmental policies and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment lawsAll other duties as assignedGroup Fitness Administrative WorkUpdates the digital GF class schedule changes and instructor changesOther administrative tasks needed to support the Director of Group FitnessJob Standards Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: Education/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of customer service experience is requiredBasic math and above average computer skills (Microsoft, Excel, Word, Outlook, POS systems)Professional appearance and demeanorReception experience is preferredSkills:Professional, friendly, outgoing personality and enjoy social interactionExcellent customer service and strong communications skillsAbility to use computers and related technology efficiently and learn applicable Club software systemsTime management and organizations skills: ability to multitaskJudgment and problem-solving skillsAttentive to detailLicenses/Certifications:Valid Driver's License - or reliable transportation to workCPR and/or First Aid/AED Training preferredSpecial Requirements:Regular and predictable attendance is required - must be reliableAbility to stand for the entire shiftAbility to move or lift as much as 50 pounds on a regular basisAbility to communicate well both verbally and in written form
